Samsung unveils Galaxy M55 5G and Galaxy M15 5G: Check price, specifications

Samsung Galaxy M55 5G, the most awaited smartphone, was released in Brazil on Thursday alongside Galaxy M15 5G.

The new Galaxy M series smartphones run on Android 14 operating system based on One UI 6.1 and feature of AMOLED display. Both smartphones have a triple rear camera setup of 50-megapixel wide lens.

The Samsung Galaxy M55 5G comes with a super Amoled display at a resolution of 1,080x2,408 pixels on the 6.7-inch full-HD screen. The display supports lighting fast 120Hz refresh rate.

The Android version runs on the Android 10 UI 6.1 operating system, powered by Qualcomm SM7450-AB Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 (4 nm), which is paired with Adreno 644 GPU.

Moreover, supporting this setup is an 8GB RAM and 256GB storage space, which can be expanded up to 1TB. On the back, a triple camera setup can be spotted, having a 50MP primary lens, an 8MP ultra wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro lens. On the front, it has a 50MP selfie camera. The company has built a Samsung Knox Vault feature in the device for security purposes for users.

Samsung Galaxy M55 5G draws its power from a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. The device weighs 180 grams, and the dimension of the device is 163.9x76.5x7.8mm. Galaxy M55 5G is priced at BRL 3,199 (roughly INR 53,000) and is offered in two colours: dark blue and light green.

The Samsung Galaxy M15 5G comes with a super Amoled display at a resolution of 1,080x2,340 pixels on the 6.5-inch full-HD screen. The display supports lighting a fast 90Hz refresh rate.

The Android version runs on the Android 10 UI 6.1 operating system, powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset, which is paired with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.

Moreover, supporting this setup are four variants of RAM and storage: 4GB with 128GB, 6GB with 128GB, 8GB with 128GB and 8GB with 256 GB. The storage space can be expanded up to 1TB.
