
Samsung's latest Android update, One UI 6.1, made its debut on the Galaxy S24 series last month and is now set to expand to more Galaxy devices. Here are the key details you should know.
Samsung has officially announced that the rollout of One UI 6.1 will commence in "late March" for certain Galaxy devices launched in 2023. These devices will not only receive the new features of One UI 6.1 but also Samsung's Galaxy AI suite.
The devices scheduled to receive the update next month include:
- Galaxy S23
- Galaxy S23+
- Galaxy S23 Ultra
- Galaxy S23 FE
- Galaxy Z Fold 5
- Galaxy Z Flip 5
- Galaxy Tab S9
- Galaxy Tab S9+
- Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra
Furthermore, these devices will gain access to the full Galaxy AI suite features. This includes Circle to Search, Live Translate for phone calls, Interpreter for in-person conversations, Chat Assist with translation, tone, and grammar functions in Samsung Keyboard, and Note Assist with summaries, translations, and more in Samsung Notes, according to 9to5google.

In the Gallery app, Generative Edit will use generative AI for advanced photo edits, as well as Edit Suggestions and Instant Slow-Mo support. AI wallpapers will also be included. Samsung Internet will receive "Browsing Assist" for summarizing news articles.
Samsung has not provided a specific date for the rollout but has indicated that the updates will begin rolling out in "late March." It is anticipated that they will arrive with each device's respective March 2024 security update.
