The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's budget airline, Flyadeal, has received approval to begin operations in Pakistan.
While the airline's major international expansion is planned for later this year, Pakistan will be Flyadeal’s first market in South Asia.
Flyadeal operations in Pakistan
According to The Express Tribune, Flyadeal will launch its services on February 2, with its inaugural flight arriving in Karachi from Riyadh, the Saudi capital.
The airline will operate direct flights connecting Karachi with Riyadh and Jeddah, offering passengers convenient travel options between the two countries.
This development is expected to benefit travellers, particularly those visiting family and friends or conducting business between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
To commemorate the occasion, Flyadeal’s first flight to Karachi will be honoured with a water salute at Jinnah International Airport, a tradition reserved for inaugural flights.
In a related move, the Saudi Tourism Authority has recently partnered with Bookme, Pakistan’s leading online ticket-booking platform, to enhance the booking experience for Flyadeal passengers. This collaboration will provide Pakistani travellers with affordable flight options and seamless booking using local and international payment channels.
This initiative aims to improve convenience and affordability for Pakistani travellers, further strengthening ties between the two countries.
