
The Sindh government has rolled out a free electric motorcycle scheme for women industrial workers in order to increase mobility and secure safe transportation for the workers.
The Sindh Minister for Labour Shahid Thahim said the registration process is underway and that the motorcycles will be given out through a digital draw with no human contact to ensure that the process is completely transparent.
Who can apply for free electric motorcycle scheme?
Women industrial workers aged between 20 and 45 years can apply. 20% of motorcycles are reserved for minorities, which is an excellent move. The applicant must also have:
- CNIC (Front and Back)
- FRC or Domicile Certificate
- Employment Certificate
- Driving Licence (optional for now)
How to register for free electric motorcycle scheme?
Eligible women can apply online via the Workers Welfare Board’s official portal at https://emotorcycle.wwbs.gos.pk/registration. Successful applicants will have 60 days to obtain a valid driving licence before receiving their motorcycles.
