The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) on Sunday issued a latest gas load-shedding schedule for winters for consumers living in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) from December 2025 to February 2026.

SNGPL cautioned that gas is expensive and urged consumers to use it according to their requirements. According to the notification, gas will be available periodically in three daily time slots:

  • 5:30am to 8:30am
  • 11:30am to 1:30pm
  • 5:30pm to 8:30pm.

Officials noted that for the industrial sector, no load-shedding is being carried out, as they added that gas demand has "increased many times over" in winter.

Officials advised citizens to prepare breakfast and other meals during the specified gas supply hours.

Last month, Minister for Petroleum Ali Perves Malik directed gas utilities to ensure an uninterrupted gas supply to households during winter, saying all necessary steps must be taken to assist the public and that gas companies had been issued the required instructions.

It should be noted that gas load-shedding has become a major political and social concern, with household supply repeatedly flagged as a key issue.

According to Worldometer's country reserves data, Pakistan holds 0.4% of global gas reserves but accounts for 1.1% of global consumption.
