Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has received a major update on PC that fixes many issues affecting players since its launch earlier this year. After a rocky start, the game is finally getting back on track with smoother performance and better gameplay.
The PC version of Spider-Man 2 came out in January 2025, months after the PS5 release, which had earned high praise and multiple awards in 2023.
However, the PC port was filled with bugs, glitches, and performance problems, leading to “Mixed” reviews on Steam. After several hotfixes and six earlier patches, the latest Patch 7 is now live and brings a much-needed boost to the game.
Spider-Man 2 PC patch update
According to the developers at Nixxes, Patch 7 fixes visual bugs, including shiny indoor plants and pixelated objects when Ray-Traced Interiors are turned on. Shadow flickering issues caused by some graphics settings have also been resolved.
The update also addresses control problems. The “Parry: Web Blast” ability now works properly, and MJ’s lure move is no longer locked to one key. UI bugs, fullscreen display issues, and a crash when minimizing the game have also been fixed. A specific bug that blocked progress near the Upper West Side photo location has been taken care of as well.
