Top 10 GreenTech startups to represent Pakistan at COP29 in Baku

The Ignite National Technology Fund has chosen the top ten GreenTech startups to represent Pakistan at COP29, a major global climate summit happening in Baku, Azerbaijan.

These startups were selected from over 120 applicants, highlighting the country’s commitment to climate action through technology and innovation.

The top three startups would participate in the GreenTech Hub Initiative, led by the Ministry of Climate Change & Environmental Coordination and supported by Ignite under the Ministry of IT & Telecom.

Pakistani startups for COP29

Among the selected startups, Khaity Technologies (Pvt) Ltd. focuses on helping Pakistani farmers use AI to build climate-resilient farming methods, which improves food security.

SAWiE Ecosystem also supports farmers by offering data-driven tools and remote sensing to enhance crop productivity and sustainable practices. Growtech Services aims to make agriculture more climate-smart and efficient.

In the energy sector, EcoEdge AI (Pvt) Ltd. uses AI to optimise building energy use by enhancing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, reducing energy costs and environmental impact.

The electric mobility field is represented by ezBike, which works to convert petrol motorcycles to electric, lowering conversion costs with a Battery-as-a-Service model that provides affordable battery access.

VLEKTRA Electric Motorcycles is also making strides in sustainable transport with electric motorcycles designed for urban areas.

Additionally, Creeco Pvt. Ltd. produces alternative fuels from waste materials, including wastewater and algae, and captures carbon to help reduce emissions.

Electric Energy Pvt Ltd. (Zyp Technologies) promotes electric mobility through a franchise-based battery swap network, making electric vehicles more accessible and affordable.

The finalists also tackle pollution and water scarcity. Concept Loop Pvt. Ltd. uses plastic waste to create EcoGrete™, a high-quality building material that reduces ocean-bound plastics. NanoDrop develops nanotechnology-based filters that purify water, even removing salt, without using electricity.

Supported by organisations like NUST, Sarmayacar, and USAID, these startups will demonstrate Pakistan’s advancements in green technology on the global stage, underscoring the nation’s drive for sustainable innovation and climate responsibility.
