PTCL's acquisition of Telenor and Orion Towers
PTCL Group's acquisition of Telenor Pakistan, announced in December 2023, promises to introduce a new era of connectivity and digital innovation for Ufone customers.
With regulatory approvals anticipated by the end of 2024 or early 2025, customers of both networks, including Ufone, can expect substantial quality improvements.
PTCL Group CEO Hatem Bamatraf outlined the two-year integration plan at GITEX Dubai. "Unifying Telenor and Ufone extends beyond technical adjustments; it's about merging IT systems, infrastructure, sales networks, marketing strategies, and company policies."
The comprehensive integration aims to create a robust telecom infrastructure network, enhancing Ufone's services nationwide. The merger is expected to create a one-of-a-kind telecom infrastructure in Pakistan, enabling PTCL to offer superior services across the country, including Ufone's expanded coverage.

Ufone customers can expect improved network quality and throughput, expanded coverage, especially in remote areas, and superior services through merged spectrum assets. The merger will intensify competition, driving innovation and customer-centric services for Ufone.
Addressing regulatory delays
