Stunlock Studios has announced a major update for V Rising, its popular vampire survival game. The Invaders of Oakveil update (Patch 1.1) will launch on April 28 and introduce a new biome, enemies, weapons, and a combat overhaul.
V Rising is an open-world survival RPG where players take on the role of a reawakened vampire. To survive, they must avoid sunlight, hunt humans, build a stronghold, and battle enemies across different regions.
V Rising's new features in Invaders of Oakveil update
The Oakveil Woodlands, a brand-new biome, will be added to V Rising, filled with new enemies and powerful bosses. Defeating these bosses will unlock new spells across the game’s seven spell schools, enhancing combat strategies.
Stunlock Studios has also introduced a major combat overhaul, calling it the biggest in the game’s history. This update includes gear rebalancing, stat adjustments, and changes to blood types, making battles more dynamic and rewarding.
V Rising's new weapons and castle features
Patch 1.1 introduces three new weapons:
- Twinblade: A dual-bladed staff with a Javelin attack to dash to enemies or pull them closer.
- Claws: A highly requested weapon that builds up a Puncture effect, causing an AOE explosion when maxed.
- Throwing Daggers: A ranged weapon for players who prefer attacking from a distance.
Players can also expect new castle features and cosmetic items, enhancing the base-building experience. A new battle arena and dueling mechanic are also set to arrive in Patch 1.1, though details are still limited.
