In a significant move, the efforts of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) have resolved visa issues that were hindering Pakistani traders from participating in an exhibition in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

According to a press statement, this breakthrough was achieved through proactive measures by TDAP, as announced by its Chief Executive, Faiz Ahmed, during a meeting at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) on Friday.

LCCI President Mian Abuzar Shad noted that visa complications had caused difficulties for over 20 LCCI-affiliated companies that had booked stalls for the Dubai exhibition.

He emphasised the need for smoother participation by Pakistani businesses in international trade events and urged TDAP to work closely with embassies and trade missions.

Shad also highlighted the importance of strong marketing strategies to boost exports, encouraging the government to prioritise value-added products over raw material exports.

Several notable figures attended the meeting, including LCCI Vice President Shahid Nazir Chaudhry, TDAP Director General Rafia Syed, and members of the LCCI Executive Committee.

Ahmed informed attendees that TDAP had successfully organised trade exhibitions in Saudi Arabia and is planning another in Ethiopia soon. He also encouraged LCCI members to actively participate in trade initiatives.
