SpaceX CEO Elon Musk recently revealed his vision for the future of the media, as Musk predicted that the generation of media, movies, and podcasts would become "overwhelmingly AI-generated”.

During a nearly two-hour interview, titled 'Elon Musk: A Different Conversation w/ Nikhil Kamat', on YouTube, the tech-billionaire gave a specific timeline, indicating that over 90% of new digital content will be AI-generated by 2026.

Musk discussed that xAI’s upcoming Grok-3 model will be capable of creating full-length films from simple text prompts, directly competing with Hollywood studios.

However, he stated that current AI tools are still struggling with maintaining narrative consistency across longer content. Meanwhile, Tesla owner praised the capabilities of its AI tools — developed by xAI — "could certainly emulate a scarred human being quite well.

"There's some danger when you create a powerful technology, as it can be potentially destructive. It's not that we're guaranteed to have a positive future with AI, although we have to make sure that AI pursues truth as the most important thing. Don't force an AI to believe falsehood," said Musk.

It should be noted that major streaming platforms, including Netflix and Disney, have noted they will not accept AI-generated content without human creative oversight, citing quality and authenticity concerns.
