WWE 2K24 to release on March 8, grant Cody Rhodes front cover

2K has officially announced WWE 2K24, the next instalment in its annual wrestling video game series, with a scheduled launch date of March 8. The game will be available on PC (via Steam), PS5, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X.

Cody Rhodes will grace the front cover of the Standard Edition, while the Deluxe Edition cover will feature Women's Royal Rumble winners Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley. 

In celebration of 40 years of WrestleMania, a special Forty Years of WrestleMania Edition will showcase iconic wrestlers such as The Rock, The Undertaker, Hulk Hogan, and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.

Visual Concepts, the regular developer for WWE 2K games, is working on WWE 2K24. The game will introduce several advancements, including the 2K Showcase of the Immortals mode, recreating famous matches and scenarios from WrestleMania history.

WWE 2K24 will feature four new match types — including Special Guest Referee, Ambulance Match, Casket Match, and Gauntlet Match — alongside two new MyRISE experiences. Besides that, Classic WWE 2K match types, including WarGames, Extreme Rules, TLC, Submission, Hell in a Cell, and more, will make a return. 

The roster will include over 200 WWE superstars, both iconic and current, with wrestlers like "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Undertaker, John Cena, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, and others.

The game promises gameplay and visual improvements, including enhanced animations with updates to over 90% of facial expressions and improved camera control during live gameplay. Additional gameplay improvements will be seen in Super Finishers, the Trading Blows mini-game, Paybacks, and more.

WWE 2K24 Deluxe Edition and Forty Years of WrestleMania Edition will launch on March 5, 2024, while the Standard Edition and Standard Cross-Gen Digital Edition will be available on March 8. Pre-orders are open, with the Standard Edition priced at Rs. 3,339 on Steam.

The Deluxe Edition and the Forty Years of WrestleMania Edition are priced at Rs. 5,699 and Rs. 6,799, respectively. On the PlayStation Store, the Standard Edition on PS4 costs Rs. 4,499, and the Standard Cross-Gen Digital Edition is priced at Rs. 4,999.

The WWE 2K24 Deluxe Edition and Forty Years of WrestleMania Edition cost Rs. 7,499 and Rs. 7,999, respectively, with the same prices on the Xbox store.
