Xiaomi is planning to expand its presence in the electric vehicle (EV) market with the launch of the YU7 SUV, expected to debut in mid-2025. The YU7 aims to compete with leading electric SUVs, particularly the Tesla Model Y.
The Xiaomi YU7 will be offered in two configurations.
- Single-motor Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD): 315 HP motor with a top speed of 240 km/h.
- Dual-motor All-Wheel Drive (AWD): 295 HP front motor + 386 HP rear motor, delivering a total of 681 HP with a top speed of 253 km/h.
This makes the AWD version a high-performance EV, competing with some of the top electric SUVs.
Moreover, the Xiaomi YU7 will sport two battery pack options:
- AWD version: 101.7 kWh battery with a CLTC-rated range of 670 km, 750 km, or 760 km, depending on configuration.
- RWD version: 96.3 kWh battery offering a range of 725 km, 810 km, or 820 km.
Notably, China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC) range estimates tend to be optimistic, and real-world performance may vary.

- Length: 4,999 mm
- Width: 1,996 mm
- Height: 1,600 mm
- Wheelbase: 3,000 mm
With these dimensions, the YU7 sits between Tesla’s Model Y and Model X, offering ample interior space and cargo capacity.
