Yadea has officially introduced a new model of its T5 electric scooter in Pakistan, which now comes with upgraded features and performance that rival 125cc combustion-engine motorcycles, which are commonly used as daily commuters.
The new Yadea T5 has an upgraded motor that has a power output of 1200W, has power performance peaking at 2100 watts and has a speed limit of 57 km/h. It has two power modes, either ECO or Sports mode, depending on what the rider is comfortable with given the road conditions and battery consumption of the vehicle.
The T5 is designed for urban transportation and has a sitting height of 700 mm off the ground with a wide 360 mm footboard, which adds to the comfort of most riders.
Notably, the scooter is additionally fitted with 26-litre under-seat storage, Matrix LED headlights, a digital display panel and smart features that include a remote ignition, as well as an anti-theft system.
The T5 also has features that are common in larger motorcycles, such as hazard indicators.
A major selling point for the Yadea T5 scooter is the ease of operation and cost savings for riders in Pakistan. The scooter uses a 72V 25Ah graphene battery, which uses only 2 electricity units on full charge, bringing running costs to only around Rs. 1 per kilometre, unlike the running cost of most petrol bikes at around Rs8 per kilometre.
In addition, the scooter has front disc and rear drum brakes, tubeless tyres and a hydraulic suspension system to go along with its smooth ride.
Yadea offers a 2-year or 20,000 km warranty, adding further peace of mind for buyers.
Now available nationwide at an estimated price of Rs248,500, the Yadea T5 is positioned as a budget-friendly and eco-conscious mobility solution.
