MG Motors is reportedly gearing up to launch two new vehicles in Pakistani automotive market, including an electric (EV) sedan, with an aim at expanding its footprint nationwide.
As per information shared by DrivePK, the launch of EV sedans could significantly create new options for Pakistanis, as there are limited options for EVs.
MG Motors is expected to launch:
- An EV sedan, potentially targeting a more accessible electric segment
- A C-segment SUV, likely aimed at one of Pakistan’s most competitive categories
However, it is important to note that specifications and model names are underwraps, while the move suggests MG is expanding both its electric and conventional lineup in Pakistan.
With the launch of MG U9 pickup truck, the company has already established a presence in Pakistan with SUVs. The addition of an EV sedan could be significant, as Pakistan’s electric car options remain limited and mostly positioned at higher price points.
What to expect from MG Pakistan?
With rising petroleum product prices and Pakistanis' growing interest in electric mobility, MG Motors plans to create affordable EV sedan options, which could attract buyers seeking lower running costs.
MG Pakistan has yet to officially reveal details of the upcoming two vehicles, including EV sedan and a C-segment SUV.
