Yango Pakistan, part of the global Yango Group, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Punjab Safe City Authority (PSCA) to enhance passenger safety in Pakistan.

This collaboration introduces new security features aimed at ensuring the safety of women, children, and families using Yango’s ride-hailing services.

One of the major features among the new set to be brought in through the partnership includes a direct in-app call to the Women's Safety Helpline (15). It enables the women passengers to conveniently reach out to emergency services at any point in time on the ride.

Furthermore, another key aspect is the Child Safety Helpline, providing a secure journey for children and families. Furthermore, the collaboration will also look at new technologies and safety measures to further safeguard passengers and drivers.

The MoU was inked at the PSCA Headquarters by PSCA Chief Operating Officer SSP Capt (retd) Mustansar Feroze and Yango Pakistan Head of Public Policy and Government Relations Muhammad Jahangir Khan and Yango Pakistan Country Head Miral Sharif stressed that the company's number one priority is passenger safety.

"This partnership is a step in the right direction towards ensuring safe and reliable mobility, particularly for women and children," stated Sharif. SSP Feroze also lauded the partnership, explaining that it is a testament to a shared vision of building safer communities through technology.
