The central focus of the discussion between Ambassador Sheikh and Googleplex staff revolved around strategies vital for enhancing Pakistan's participation in Silicon Valley's innovation ecosystem. He also detailed how the Embassy and Consulates can serve as effective channels to strengthen collaboration between Pakistani and US tech companies.

The impending Pak-US Tech Investment Conference, organised by the Embassy and the Consulate General of Pakistan, at Stanford University on November 10, 2024, also remained a topic of discussion.

Earlier in a virtual meeting with Google’s Country Head for Pakistan, the Consul General of Pakistan and Ambassador Sheikh in Los Angeles talked at length about the positive momentum within Pakistan’s IT industry while reflecting on essential government policies to integrate Pakistan into the global IT ecosystem, a significant step to create employment and boost IT exports.

While assuring it of full government backing, the ambassador requested Google’s assistance to endorse Pakistan’s branding in the technological landscape of the US and urged to devise strategies to solidify bilateral cooperation.
