Both Android 15 and iOS 18 are much-hyped in their respective domains, but there are some commonalities where they confront each other.
Google and Apple are preparing to respectively release Android 15 and iOS 18 in their stable forms, and the biggest upper hand the former has over the latter is the assortment of new security features Android 15 offers.
New security safeguards on Android 15
While security has long remained Apple's trademark for years, Google has emerged as a proficient opponent in this domain by utilising artificial intelligence (AI) for detecting scams, countering malware, and safeguarding Android devices from thieves. These amenities in Android 15 have been introduced with Theft Detection Lock, Remote Lock, and Offline Device Lock to protect user data.
App pairs on Android 15
Cloning pairs could be great especially if one is so accustomed to frequently indulging in two apps simultaneously, like Gmail with Chrome, or something other combos. Record one app in Android 15
As far as Android 15's new Private Space feature is concerned, Apple goes the extra mile and beats Google by letting users lock and hide apps with iOS 18. But still, Android 15 manages to strike a massive blow to iOS 18 with this privacy-related feature: letting users opt for one specific app for screen recordings to ensure that nothing else is shared or saved.
Circle to Search is better on Android 15
Although iOS too embraced Circle to Search through the Google app, but it falls short of delivering the same experience as that on Android devices. And this is where Android 15 outshines iOS 18, extending an even enhanced Circle to Search, with additional capacity allowing to identify songs. Circle to Search has in short become quicker than the Shazam shortcut in the iOS Control Center.
