Apple’s much-anticipated September 2024 event is just around the corner at which the company is set to debut its new iPhone 16 series integrated with design upgrades, advanced AI features, and enhanced cameras, alongside new Apple Watch and AirPods models.
As the tech giant gears up for the launch and the date is yet to be revealed, talks are emerging about when to expect the Apple upcoming event.
Over the past few years, Apple announced its last three iPhone series on the following dates.
- iPhone 15 series on Tuesday , September 12, 2023
- iPhone 14 series on Wednesday, September 7, 2022
- iPhone 13 series on Tuesday September 14, 2021
Based on the recent history, we can see that the tech giant usually prefers Tuesdays and Wednesdays as iPhone launch days.

However, another important factor is the proximity of these dates to Labour Day observation in the US which is usually the first Monday of September.
Although Tuesdays get more preference for the Apple event it is likely to push the event to Wednesday whenever it happens the same week as Labour Day.
In 2023 and 2021, the Apple event occurred after eight days of Labour Day, while in 2022 it happened after two days of Labour Day.
Following this pattern, Tuesday, September 10 is the most expected date for the launch of the iPhone 16 series as Labour Day is set to be observed on September 2.
The iPhone 16 series is said to comprise four models including iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max.
If Apple announces its upcoming flagship on September 10, the preorders for these new devices could begin around September 13, with official sales following a week later.
