In an effort to give women safe and secure public transportation, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti launched the province's first Pink Bus Service in Quetta on Wednesday.

The event was attended by members of the assembly, provincial ministers, and other dignitaries.

In his remarks at the event, Bugti commended the work of female deputy commissioners in several districts, saying their efforts demonstrate that women are equally capable of handling administrative duties.

"The introduction of the Pink Bus Service builds on recent initiatives like the Pink Scooties programme and reflects the government's commitment to women's empowerment," he stated.

The chief minister underlined that the goal of the new service is to increase opportunities for women across all fields, alongside scholarships and other development initiatives.

Additionally, he made a forceful statement denouncing what he called "extremist elements", accusing them of deceiving Baloch women and leading them down dangerous paths.

According to Bugti, "The government wants Baloch women to pursue education, development, and global opportunities instead."

In order to meet the needs of public transport and lessen environmental pollution, he declared that the government is working to introduce electric buses and that Green Bus Service will expand to Pishin, Mastung, and Turbat.

The people of Balochistan have welcomed the Pink Bus Service's launch and hope it will improve the province.

It is anticipated that the Pink Bus Service will give women a dependable and safe means of transportation so they can engage in a variety of activities and support the growth of the province.
