Electronic Arts (EA) has officially released a multiplayer gameplay trailer for its upcoming first-person shooter sequel, “Battlefield 6.” Developer Battlefield Studios revealed what fans can expect in the game during a live-streamed event on Thursday.
The company stated that Battlefield 6 will include massive battles across cityscapes that are destructible, filled with tanks, helicopters and fighter jets.
Battlefield 6 features
Battlefield 6 will bring back the iconic class systems. Assault, Recon, Support, and Engineer are the four main roles, each offering a specific use on the battlefield.
"The four roles have been enhanced, designed to empower players to push their team towards victory, each with class-specific gadgets, signature weapons and dedicated training," EA explained.
For multiplayer mode, classic Battlefield modes such as Conquest, Breakthrough, Rush, Team Deathmatch and Domination are returning.
Moreover, players will be able to craft and share their own maps and game modes. The game will also feature a single-player mode, with more details to be announced later.
"Witness the vicious path of destruction carved by Pax Armata, the world's leading private military company. PAX pursues the destruction of NATO and its allies, stopping at nothing to uphold their motto: 'Our Protection, Your Peace,'" an official description reads.

The company confirmed that Battlefield 6 will be released on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S and X and PC on October 10, 2025.
A playable beta will be available at three different points in August: Aug. 7-8, 9-10 and 14-17.
