Diablo 4 Season 11 will bring big changes for players, including the removal of one of the game’s most popular features, Chaos Armor.

Introduced in Season 10 during the Season of Infernal Chaos, Chaos Armor allowed players to equip Unique Affixes on gear types that were previously restricted, opening up new and powerful build combinations for all classes.

Starting with Season 11, Chaos Armor will no longer be accessible or equippable. Fans are invited to enjoy the mechanic while it's still available because once the Season of Divine Intervention starts, it will be gone.

While gear optimisation will continue to play a big role in the game, overall build power might decrease.

Season 11 brings with it the new seasonal mechanic called Sanctification, a way for players to affix gear with additional bonus powers.

Unlike Chaos Armor, Sanctification can't brick an item, meaning you can safely buff up your best gear, even if the results are suboptimal. It's not a full Chaos Armor replacement but more of an alternative way to tinker with builds and gear combinations.

Chaos Armor was widely praised for the effect it had on gameplay, especially by allowing certain unique builds like Evade Spiritborn with the Wushe Nak Pa Chaos Helm, Companion Druid with Chaos Pants, and Dance of Knives Rogue with Chaos Boots.

This has been one of the most impactful seasonal mechanics since the launch of Diablo 4, and most fans are hoping it or something similar will return in future seasons.
