The much-anticipated Battlefield 6 game is almost here, and it is officially confirmed. Electronic Arts (EA) has announced that it will publicly reveal its first-person shooter game on Thursday, with a full trailer drop.
In a post on X (Twitter), the official Battlefield account revealed that the Battlefield 6 reveal trailer will air at 8:27pm IST on Thursday.
The post included a short teaser video featuring artistic renderings of soldiers in a cinematic combat setting, while EA suggested true “all-out warfare” in the new title.
This is a momentous moment for the main Battlefield series after Battlefield 2042 saw tonnes of backlash for changing core gameplay mechanics.
Battlefield 6 will now be the 13 main title in the franchise, and it’s anticipated to bring back classic 64-player multiplayer maps, along with the classic class system it’s last title received backlash for omitting, but also included “specialists” instead.
In recent weeks, there had been leaked images and reports confirming the title of the game and an upcoming reveal, along with some producers who received promotional packages from EA, which suggests a three-day promotional effort which one promotional partner referred to as “Countdown to Battlefield 6”.
EA had earlier shared pre-alpha footage and confirmed that the game will include feedback from recent community playtests.
While the release date for Battlefield 6 hasn’t been confirmed yet, EA has stated that it will launch in the fiscal year 2026.
