BMW has brought a video game legend to life with a specially built M3 GTR based on Need for Speed: Most Wanted. The Need for Speed series is a very famous racing game franchise, best known for high-speed chases, thrilling races, and iconic cars.
This one-of-a-kind car commemorates two milestones: the 30th anniversary of the original game and 20 years since the first Most Wanted thrilled gamers in 2005.
BMW GTR features
The M3 GTR is an almost perfect replica of the car from Need for Speed: Most Wanted. It comes with a stripped-down interior, having only one racing seat and a roll cage, so it is already ready for the track.
Wide fenders, side-exit exhausts, and a fixed rear wing, among others, all give the car a powerfully aggressive look, fitting for a high-performance car.
BMW is also looking at its own 2001 ALMS GT Series E46 M3 GTR, an incredibly dominant race car that had won its series and taken titles under the skilled hands of Jörg Müller and J.J. Lehto.
The vehicle will be available on display at the BMW Welt Museum in Munich until January 6, 2025. It gives all the fans a closeup look at the car to celebrate the long history connecting BMW and Need for Speed.
