Bookings are now open for the long-awaited Islamabad IT Park, an initiative begun by the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) and built under the Ministry of IT and Telecom, which is projected to open on August 14, 2025.
The park will help to facilitate the growth of Pakistan’s IT and IT-enabled services (ITeS) industry and support Startups and Tech export activities in Islamabad.
Islamabad IT Park to launch soon
With a total area of approximately 720,000 square feet, the park will accommodate over 120 IT and ITeS companies, making it one of the largest technology hubs in the country.
Moreover, the IT park has been designed to provide ready-to-move office spaces within the project, which will include two basements, a ground floor, and nine upper floors.
It is significant to note that it also offers a startup incubation centre consisting of 15 offices and some associated business support services, such as legal, marketing, financial consultancy and other services aimed at empowering startups.
The Islamabad IT Park will also feature Pakistan's first Tier III Data Centre, which was built to international standards. The data centre will be protected by high security and a best-in-class, uninterrupted operations facility.
This is expected to attract both local tech firms and foreign digital investors and promote the city as a valuable property for tech-related businesses.
Furthermore, the IT park will consist of research and development labs, virtual training zones, and a centre for collaboration with industry to promote academia-industry collaboration activities, which will help narrow the gap between Pakistani Universities and the tech industry in Islamabad.
The initiative is being supported by major stakeholders, including the Pakistan Software Houses Association and Pakistan Freelancers Association. A similar tech facility is also in the works near Karachi airport.
