The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) on Wednesday launched the 'PTA Digital Assistant', which will provide ease and facilitation to telecom consumers with general guidance on telecom services and complaint procedures.
PTA, in a press release, said: "The deployed 'PTA Digital Assistant' is available on WhatsApp — 03150055055 — offering Pakistanis menu-driven options, providing relevant information quickly.
"The solution responds to selected commands to ensure efficient engagement," added PTA.
"PTA aims to enhance consumer facilitation, improve regulatory info access, and reduce query response time, showcasing its commitment to digital facilitation through innovative tech solutions.
Earlier on February 13, PTA urged Pakistanis to promote safe and responsible use of social media, as misuse can damage the reputation of the state.
The telecom authority added that responsible use of social media is a shared "responsibility of all of us". Avoid spreading illegal, hateful, defamatory and false information, which may damage the reputation of state institutions, judiciary or any individual.
