The fan-favourite Call of Duty series has been experiencing a bit of a slump recently, criticised for its attempts to mimic other popular titles like Fortnite.
Regardless, Activision seems undeterred in its mission, announcing this week a collaboration with wrestling giant World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).
Taking to social media, the company released a post depicting a wrestling ring along with several characters fighting, promoting the new collaboration.

The collaboration is set to make its appearance with the commencement of Season 5, confirmed by the company which named 24th July as the launch date.
The thematic content should be available across Modern Warfare 3, Warzone, and Warzone Mobile, though the studio remains silent on the specifics of the content players will have access to.
The expectation is that in-game content will feature recognisable personalities from the WWE Universe, taking on engaging roles such as operators or more.
Fans of the franchise need not worry, as Activision is expected to reveal more details as the launch date approaches.
Amid recent controversy about added content, fans have been particularly upset. It is crucial that the franchise succeeds this time around as it ventures into new territory, leaving behind its roots.
