Nintendo has updated its Nintendo Music app by adding the soundtrack from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. The update is available for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers without any extra cost.

Released in 1991 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is one of the best-selling games in the Zelda franchise. The game features a character Link, who has to save Princess Zelda from the dark sorcerer "Agahnim" and vanquish Dark World creatures.

Moreover, the game has some of the most important elements in the Zelda series, such as the Master Sword and the world-switching ability, which were later used in other Zelda games.

What’s new in Nintendo Music?

With a total runtime of 46 minutes, A Link to the Past now has 31 songs in the soundtrack. Popular tracks such as “Light World” and “Dark World” are also compatible with the app’s Extended Playback function.

The update provides users with an option to play songs on a continuous loop of 15, 30, or 60 minutes for longer gameplay.

Notably, Nintendo Music, the Switch Online subscriber exclusive app, provides weekly updates with music from Nintendo first-party titles. Prior to this update, Zelda fans were able to listen to the Ocarina of Time, The Wind Waker, Skyward Sword, and Breath of the Wild soundtracks.

The app also lets listeners stream or download the songs depending on the available storage space on their device.
