Cloudflare on Tuesday faced a global outage, including in Pakistan, causing disruptions and triggering downtime on well-known websites, such as X (formerly Twitter).
According to Downdetector, users encountered alerts flagging an internal server error on Cloudflare's network and were asked to try again after a few minutes.
Cloudflare, a key provider of internet infrastructure and website security, officially acknowledged the outage in a series of updates, stating: "Our support portal is currently experiencing issues, and as such, customers might encounter errors viewing or responding to support cases.
"Responses on customer inquiries are not affected, and customers can still reach us via live chat (Business and Enterprise) through the Cloudflare Dashboard, or via the emergency telephone line (Enterprise). We are working to understand the full impact and mitigate this problem," added the company.
As per Downdetector, 56% of users reported problems with server connections, while 31% reported issues with the website, and 13% are facing difficulties accessing domains.
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) said: "PTA is closely monitoring a major global outage impacting X and Cloudflare. The authority is in contact with global platforms and local operators and will continue to observe the situation until services are fully restored.
Cloudflare said it would continue giving updates as it move toward full restoration of services.
