Dongfeng Pakistan has officially announced the periodic maintenance schedule and service charges for the all-electric Dongfeng Box, underlining its focus on transparency and low-cost electric vehicle ownership.
The details were shared in collaboration with Chawla Green Motors, with the company highlighting that EVs generally require less maintenance than conventional fuel-powered cars.
Dongfeng Box service schedule in Pakistan
In its press release, Dongfeng Pakistan stated that the Box EV will feature complimentary maintenance for the first few maintenance cycles in efforts to minimize the cost of ownership for those purchasing their first electric vehicle.
The cost of labor in the first three flights, which are 1,000 km or one month, 5,000 km or six months, and 10,000 km or 12 months, will not be included.
As per the official schedule, the cost of the 20,000 km or 24-month service is Rs9,500, while that of the 40,000 km/36-month service is Rs12,800. The cost of the 60,000 km/60-month service is Rs9,500.
These costs are restricted to labor and are a consequence of the reduced service requirements associated with electric cars, which have fewer components to move compared to gasoline vehicles.
Dongfeng Pakistan explained that their maintenance service is governed by “whichever comes first.” Moreover, extra repairs discovered during maintenance checks, including replacements, will be shouldered by the client. No taxes or parts prices are being charged in their maintenance service pricing.
Another benefit for the owners of the Dongfeng Box will be that software update facilities will be available free of charge during the warranty period, thereby increasing its long-term advantages.
