Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon on Monday revealed that a fleet of double-decker buses has reached Karachi port, as the bus service is expected to begin soon to provide travellers a more convenient transport option.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Memon said: Double-deckers buses for #Karachi reached at port. Inshallah Soon these buses will be on roads for the people of Karachi by the transport department government of Sindh."

Double-decker buses will provide modern, safe, and comfortable transport facilities to citizens.

The Sindh government has launched different transport initiatives in recent years, which include the Green Line, Red Line, and Pink Bus Service, among others. However, the city’s transport crisis remains unresolved. Transport development projects that have remained under construction have further impacted citizens, particularly those depending on private transport options, worsening congestion and travel times across the city.
