Are you an avid gamer who's on the lookout for an opportunity to uplift your gaming career, gain a myriad of opportunities to compete with the global talent, and settle in a properous country with a booming e-sports scene?
If that is so, then Dubai’s 10-year Golden Residency Visa could be your gateway to the fulfilment of all that, only if you are a gaming professional and eligible.
Launched by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai’s 10-year Golden Residency Visa is part of the Dubai Programme for Gaming 2033 (DPG33), which encourages talent in the gaming industry worldwide to live and work in the emirates.
Who is eligible for Dubai’s 10-year gaming Visa?
It must be noted that only eligible applicants can apply for the "Dubai Gaming Visa" under the "culture and arts" category. First of all, interested applicants are required to obtain an accreditation certificate from Dubai Culture. This certificate is a prerequisite for securing further approvals from local and federal authorities overseeing residency permits.
Individuals must be at least 25 years old and are bound to submit their applications in person, as submissions from companies or service centres are not accepted.
It's also noteworthy that approval from Dubai Culture does not guarantee visa acceptance, since all applications undergo a review before visa grant.
