A new way to enjoy Nintendo Switch games is almost here, and it’s faster, easier, and built for Android users.
Named Eden, this new Nintendo Switch emulator is releasing in pre-alpha on May 10, with guaranteed robust performance and a silky new interface.
Emulators such as this allow users to play titles such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8, and so many more without the need for the original console, provided they legally possess the game files.
What to look forward to in Nintendo Eden emulator?
Eden is derived from Yuzu, a well-known emulator that was closed down last year following legal action by Nintendo. Since then, numerous Yuzu forks have emerged, such as Citron and Sudachi.
Eden enters the fray as a new, ambitious player, developed by former Citron developers who broke away following internal conflicts.
Notably, the team has constructed a brand-new user interface and incorporated additional features that are already functional in the early release.
In a YouTube video preview by well-known content producer Alexwpi, titles such as Breath of the Wild were seen operating above 100fps on PC.
On the other hand, Android support seems robust, with Mario Kart 8 performing better than on several older emulators.
Eden’s lead developer Camille LaVey says the early release was necessary due to fake versions spreading online and pressure from toxic groups. “We had to launch before someone else stole our work,” she explained in a Reddit post.
