Following a massive outage which affected thousands of its US users, Elon Musk-owned social media platform X (formerly) has been reported to have fully recovered in the country.

Citing the renowned outage tracking site Downdetector.com, Reuters noted that reports of disruptions on X dropped to approximately 1,041 by 7:42pm ET after reaching over 10,000 at its peak.

It's worth noting that figures provided by Downdetector are a compilation of user-submitted status reports, meaning the actual number of affected users may differ.

In May this year, Musk, who invested nearly $300 million in support of former US President Donald Trump and other Republicans, announced he would be working "24/7" at his companies. Earlier in March, he attributed a similar outage to a cyberattack.

In a post on X, he stated, "Back to spending 24/7 at work and sleeping in conference/server/factory rooms. I must be super focused on X/xAI and Tesla (plus Starship launch next week), as we have critical technologies rolling out."

The tech mogul also acknowledged the recent downtime issues at X, emphasising the need for major improvements.
