October 2025 is set to be a big month for Xbox Game Pass with major day-one releases, beloved sequels, and a few bittersweet departures.
Microsoft's subscription service continues its monthly process of adding new titles and removing others, meaning the library will remain dynamic and diverse for millions of gamers around the globe.
This month highlights the heavily anticipated Ninja Gaiden 4 and The Outer Worlds 2, both of which will launch on Game Pass on day one.
In addition, players will see unique indie gems and sequels to popular classics; in a few cases, Game Pass will highlight an experimental day-one launch that emphasises this service's strength as a discovery platform.
Moreover, Xbox Game Pass will relinquish some older, more well-known titles, including Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection, which includes three beloved IPs from one of gaming's great action franchises.

- Ninja Gaiden 4 (October 21): This is the first new mainline game entry in more than a decade that promises brutal hack-and-slash gameplay from Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo.
- The Outer Worlds 2 (October 29): A sequel to Obsidian’s spacefaring RPG, it's been a long time coming and will draw on its lessons from Avowed with the goal of perfecting the popular formula of its 2019 release.
- Keeper (October 17): A spiritual puzzle-adventure game from Double Fine and a surreal adventure about a self-aware lighthouse and a seabird that also contains the design studio's normal emotional narrative and unusual charm.
- Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault (October 29): The dungeon-crawling game meets gameplay inheriting the saga and shopkeeper gameplay in the indie classic, also releasing in early access, available on PC Game Pass.
Everything leaving Xbox Game Pass in October 2025
While fresh titles arrive, three Ninja Gaiden classics will exit on October 1 as part of the Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection:

- Ninja Gaiden Σ2
- Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge
Subscribers can purchase the collection before removal at a 20% discount if they want to keep it in their library.
