
After years of popularity, Minecraft is stepping into the big cinema. Finally, the first teaser trailer has dropped for A Minecraft Movie, giving fans their very first sneak peek into the live-action adaptation of the video game. The highly anticipated film stars Jack Black as Steve's iconic protagonist.
The teaser reveals the invasion of Piglins from the Nether, a dark dimension in the Minecraft universe. It introduces Steve, played by Jack Black, in his signature green 'T', blue pants, beard and all.
The humans, among them one cast member Jason Momoa, have fallen into this world of Minecraft. It is action-packed, with some great visuals promising to be an epic ride.
Jack Black's video game adaptation streak
A Minecraft Movie marks Jack Black's third in a row video game adaptation. The actor has voiced Bowser in The Super Mario Bros. Movie and is set to star in the film adaptation of Borderlands. Given his score tally in video game movies, this is a great fit for Steve.
