Fly Jinnah is set to launch direct flights between Pakistan and Bangladesh to begin travel and trade between the two countries. Bangladesh's envoy to Pakistan Iqbal Hussain on Friday made the announcement and confirmed that an agreement has been signed to begin this new air route.

Direct flight operations are expected to start soon, making travel easier and faster for citizens of both nations.

Fly Jinnah expands to Bangladesh

Direct flights between Pakistan and Bangladesh have long been a need for businesses and travellers. The new service by Fly Jinnah aims to strengthen connections between the two countries and encourage tourism and trade. This initiative will provide growth to diplomatic and economic ties between the two countries.

During a visit to educational institutions in Pakistan, Hussain spoke highly of the country’s education system. He called education the “backbone of society” and praised Pakistani institutions for their role in shaping young minds.

Pakistan and Bangladesh share a complex history, as they were once a single nation before separating in 1971. Since then, Bangladesh, under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina, has maintained close ties with India. However, the recent change in Bangladesh’s government has led to improving relations with Pakistan.

Earlier this week, while visiting the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), Hussain announced plans for cargo flights between Dhaka, Karachi, and Lahore.

Notably, these flights are expected to enhance trade and business opportunities, making it easier for goods to move between the two countries.

The Bangladeshi envoy also noted his country’s commitment to building stronger business ties with Pakistan. He pointed out the convenience of obtaining Bangladeshi visas online for Pakistani citizens, which will further encourage travel and business activities.
