Epic has revealed that it will be making Fortnite available on the EU-exclusive, third-party iOS app store, ‘Alt Store PAL’.
The revelation was made through a company blog post concerning the company’s strategy for mobile gaming, which also mentioned support for “at least two other third-party stores soon.” While Epic says that it plans to “bring our own mobile games including Fortnite to other mobile stores that give all developers a great deal,” no specific timeline was given.
In a related note, the company also floated the idea of getting Rocket League Sideswipe on Alt Store PAL. When reached for comment, AltStore’s Riley Testut pointed to Epic’s post and said, “We’re very excited to be bringing Fortnite and more to AltStore PAL.”

Epic also plans to bring Fortnite to iOS in the EU, along with launching its own store on iOS and Android.
Epic announced that “we will be ending distribution partnerships with mobile stores that serve as rent collectors without competing robustly and serving all developers fairly, even if those stores offer us a special deal for our own games.”
Epic may also pull down titles like Fortnite and Rocket League Sideswipe from the Samsung Galaxy Store due to the store’s ‘auto blocker’ and ‘public revelations’ from the US Epic vs. Google lawsuit suggesting Google’s attempt to restrain competition on Android.
