Free Wi-Fi service in Punjab reaches 11 more districts

The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has announced the expansion of free Wi-Fi services to 11 districts of the province.

Free Wi-Fi services are offered in over 200 locations in Lahore. Currently, some 270 Wi-Fi hotspots are operational, giving people internet access.

Moreover, the Wi-Fi services have been activated in Kasur, Nankana Sahib, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Gujrat, Jhelum, Attock, Sahiwal, Okara, and Murree.

According to a PSCA spokesperson, over 13 million users have already used over 265 TB of data. People of Punjab province are benefiting from the free Wi-Fi service.

Moreover, the spokesperson clarified that the free Wi-Fi service is planned for essential daily activities and not for video streaming or entertainment purposes.

Under the chief minister's instructions, the province is being transformed into a digital one.
