As the launch window draws closer, leaks surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S26 series are gaining momentum. While some rumours remain controversial, a new report from South Korea suggests the flagship lineup may arrive in February 2026, instead of Samsung’s traditional January announcement.

There have been speculations about the Galaxy S26 series’ release dates for months now. In November, rumours about its postponement were circulating. This news did not go unchallenged as rumours later arose pointing out that Samsung is set to follow its regular release dates in January.

Yonhap News, known to be one of the most truthful news providers in South Korea, revealed that Samsung may hold the launching event of the Galaxy S26 in the USA in February.

The release was mainly about the Exynos 2600 chipset, but this chipset has reportedly begun mass production. This rumour has spread fast because of the good record of the reporting agency.

Although the source is believable, there is still room for doubt. Like with any pre-launch news, until the confirmation from Samsung, none of this is official.

Hardware-wise, the Exynos2600, which has a 2nm process, will power Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus in South Korea, whereas the rest of the world will use Snapdragon8 Elite Gen5. Additionally, Galaxy S26 Ultra will come with a Qualcomm chipset.
