Google is rolling out Gmail’s AI-powered Q&A feature to help iPhone users manage their inboxes more efficiently. The company introduced this feature to Android and web users in August, allowing them to interact with its large language model (LLM), Gemini, and ask questions about their emails.

Since then, Google has been constantly working to roll out Gmail Q&A to iOS devices and now, the tech giant has finally introduced this AI feature to iPhone users.

Once rolled out, iPhone users can ask specific questions about their emails, summarise email threads, and get answers to general queries within the inbox.

Users can also ask the Gmail chatbot questions about the contents connected to Google Drive, including the company’s data or any lost contact information. To be noted, the Android version of this feature lacks this ability.

However, Google revealed that Workspace users who have subscribed to Gemini Business, Education, Enterprise, Education Premium, or Google One AI Premium plans can access this feature.

How to use Gmail's Q&A feature on iPhone

Paying users can access the feature by tapping on the black Gemini star logo at the top-right corner of the app. Users can also tap on the “summarise this email” option when inside an email thread. Currently, this feature supports the English language only.
