Google, a search engine giant, launched the first Android 15 developer preview in February, a pre-release build designed to provide developers early access to new features and APIs before the official release.

That was followed by the first Android 15 public beta release in April, which allowed a larger audience, particularly early adopters, to test the newest Android version on their devices.

Android 15, Google's impending major upgrade of its Android mobile operating system, was only briefly announced today, with further details expected tomorrow.

The latest Android 15 prereleases include new features like improved in-app camera options, partial screen sharing, and volume control, along with enhancements to PDF, NFC, and satellite connectivity compatibility.

Google's mobile operating system updates prioritise productivity, user privacy and security, communication, performance, and quality.

For the time being, Android 15 development and beta versions are only accessible on select Google Pixel devices, including the Pixel 6, Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel Fold, and Pixel Tablet.
