With the internet buzzing with a swarm of leaks and hints regarding Google Pixel 9a, a fresh one has emerged to suggest that the A-branded variant for the Pixel 9 series might launch earlier than it's supposed to.

Although it's Google tradition to debut the latest lineup of its flagship series, it opted for an earlier date which was August.

However, now that the search giant is reportedly gearing to launch the Pixel 9a soon, there's an indication of a change in strategy.

Pixel 9a release date, preorders

Citing sources, Android Police reported that preorders for the Pixel 9a could open around mid-March 2025. If the rumour has anything to go by, this will mark the earliest release of an A-series variant, as the mid-range trims for Pixel lineups used to drop by mid-May at best.
