The federal government on Sunday announced plans to expand the Faisalabad-Pindi Bhattian Motorway from four lanes to six, providing a better facility to commuters.

Speaking at a workers' convention in Sheikhupura, Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan said that construction on the Faisalabad-Lahore GT Road will soon begin.

The minister emphasised the government's plan on development initiatives by stating: "We are working to improve the country's infrastructure and strengthen national transportation networks."

"Pakistan's stature in the international community has improved," he said, praising the military for protecting the country.

Infrastructure development is still a top priority, the minister reaffirmed, stating: "Road upgrades will support economic growth and improve travel efficiency for the public."

"They show disrespect towards the sacrifices made by soldiers who defend the country," the minister said of individuals disseminating false information on social media.

He went on to say that some groups find it difficult to accept Pakistan's victory over India and cited previous military triumphs as a source of pride for the country.

He encouraged youth to disseminate truthful knowledge and combat false propaganda on the internet. "Those who engage in defamatory speech against the country should face accountability," added the minister.

It is anticipated that the government's plans to rebuild the GT Road and extend the Faisalabad-Pindi Bhattian motorway will strengthen the infrastructure, increase economic growth, and improve travel efficiency.
