In a move aimed at ensuring safety in matters involving children's data, the government of Pakistan announced plans to introduce B-form with security features for children aged over 10.

Also known as a Child Registration Certificate (CRC), the security feature-rich B-form would include photographs and the fingerprints of children's hands.

Citing the interior ministry, Geo News reported that the new B-forms will begin rolling out on January 15, 2025.

To infuse the aforementioned security features into children's B-forms, the government will collaborate with the passport division of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).

Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi said these measures will help prevent children's national identity theft and other potentially unethical misuse.

Similarly, these security-featured B-forms will also impede the procurement of fabricated Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) and passports as well as human trafficking.
