Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif-led government on Monday announced an extension in the deadline for submitting Hajj 2026 dues by three days, offering applicants a last chance to pay the remaining instalment.

According to a spokesperson of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith, applicants need to deposit the remaining dues by Wednesday, November 19.

Failure to submit the second instalment will result in the cancellation of the Hajj application.

This step is part of the government's efforts to smooth the process, easing citizens' tension and ensuring that all registered pilgrims can participate in the upcoming Hajj season without any mishaps.

Earlier in June, Minister of Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf shared details of Hajj Policy 2026, stating that Pakistan's quota of pilgrims will remain at 179,210, out of which 119,210 will perform Hajj under the government's regular scheme.

Apart from this, the Saudi government has imposed strict rules on seriously ill individuals seeking to perform Hajj 2026.

Such individuals will be sent back to their homeland, and the returning pilgrims will be required to bear the cost of their travel.
