
Hewlett-Packard (HP) and National Aerospace Science and Technology Park (NASTP) Pakistan in partnership with Muller & Phipps (M&P), have introduced the HP Gaming Garage Lab at the NASTP Institute of Information Technology (NIIT) in Lahore.
This project aims to advance Esports Management and Game Development education, equipping students with essential skills for careers in Media, ICT, and the gaming industry.
NASTP, backed by the Pakistan Air Force, is a strategic national project that fosters collaboration between industry, academia, and government to strengthen Pakistan’s position as a regional technology hub.
In Pakistan, HP has equipped NIIT’s new lab with HP All-in-One PCs and Victus Gaming Laptops while providing access to the HP Gaming Garage online education platform.
Notably, the gaming industry has witnessed exponential growth in the past decade, evolving into a significant economic and technological force. By 2026, the number of PC gamers worldwide is claimed to reach 909 million, surpassing console gamers by 33%.
HP Gaming Garage Lab
During the launch event, Air Vice Marshal Muhammad Asim Rana SI (M), Air Officer Commanding Central Air Command, emphasised the significance of gaming and Esports in today’s digital economy.
Moreover, he noted the requirement for proper infrastructure, skills, and ecosystems to fully harness the industry’s potential, encouraging all partners to continue their collaborative efforts.

HP Pakistan, Country Business Manager Nawaz Dhanji expressed enthusiasm about partnering with M&P to launch HP Gaming Garage in Pakistan. He reiterated HP’s commitment to providing free Game Development and Esports Management courses, ensuring that students from all backgrounds have access to digital education.
M&P CEO and Managing Director Kamran Nishat called the Gaming Garage Lab at NASTP a significant step in expanding Pakistan’s gaming industry. He noted that offering cutting-edge technology and learning resources will help train young talent for the digital economy, reinforcing M&P’s commitment to technological innovation in the country.
The HP Gaming Garage Lab is claimed to serve as a launchpad for aspiring game developers, Esports experts, and digital content creators in Pakistan.
The partnership between HP, NASTP, and M&P reflects a shared vision of integrating technology and education, ensuring that Pakistan remains at the forefront of gaming and digital advancements in the region.
