Hyderabad customs to auction non-duty paid vehicles on February 6

The Collectorate of Customs Hyderabad has announced an auction of non-duty paid (NDP) vehicles on February 6, 2025. The event aims to sell confiscated vehicles and generate revenue for the government. 

The auction will take place at the regional customs office in Hyderabad, where interested buyers can bid on a variety of seized vehicles.

Hyderabad customs to auction non-duty paid vehicles

According to Hyderabad Customs officials, the auction will include SUVs, sedans, and compact cars. These vehicles were confiscated due to non-payment of customs duties and taxes. 

Some of the vehicles up for bidding include:

  • Toyota Surf (1996):  3,000cc SUV, chassis number KZNI85-9003973.
  • Mitsubishi Pajero (1990): 2,477cc jeep, chassis number VA3-4005773.
  • Suzuki Swift (2006): 1,290cc compact car, chassis number ZC11S-176697.
  • Suzuki Jimny (2000): 1,300cc off-road jeep, chassis number JS3JB33V3Y4101224.
  • Suzuki Swift (2009): 1,300cc hatchback, chassis number ZC71S-552678.

Customs authorities have stated that all non-duty paid vehicles will be sold on an “as-is, where-is” basis. Buyers should inspect the vehicles before bidding, as no refunds or claims will be accepted after the sale. 

The auction process will be conducted transparently, following all legal requirements. To participate, bidders must bring valid identification and proof of payment. 

Moreover, successful bidders will need to complete paperwork and pay the full amount before taking possession of their vehicles.
