The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has unveiled its state-of-the-art biometric solutions at the International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) 2024.
Held biennially in Karachi, this defence exhibition began on November 19 and ended on November 25, showcasing Pakistan’s advanced and conventional defence capabilities alongside international collaborations.
NADRA’s debut at IDEAS
This marks NADRA’s first-ever participation in the exhibition, highlighting its ambition to position Pakistan as a leader in digital identity solutions.
The organisation presented an array of locally assembled, advanced biometric devices developed in collaboration with NADRA Technologies Limited (NTL) and the National Radio and Telecom Corporation (NRTC).
Among these innovations were compact, portable devices tailored for seamless identity verification in remote areas. Additionally, lightweight registration systems were introduced, enabling quick and efficient citizen registration. These user-friendly terminals are designed to empower individuals to independently manage their registration and verification processes.
Focus on innovation and versatility
Designed with a strong emphasis on usability, security, durability, and affordability, NADRA’s solutions address diverse needs, including national ID systems, border control, and efficient public service delivery.
The technologies attracted considerable interest from both international and local delegates, who expressed a keen interest in exploring their potential across various sectors.
