Inifinx is gearing up to announce its most-awaited Note 50 series on March 3, with AI features being the focus. The company recently teased the new lineup but did not reveal many details.
However, a new leak suggests that Infinix AI will introduce a major upgrade in voice assistance.
Infinix Note 50’s AI-powered DeepSeek R1 voice assistant
Unlike traditional voice assistants, Infinix’s Folax AI in the Note 50 series will be powered by DeepSeek R1, an innovative AI model that has gained massive popularity.
DeepSeek R1 is a large language model (LLM) that competes directly with OpenAI’s GPT-4o and is known for its speed and accuracy. This makes Infinix one of the first Chinese smartphone brands to integrate DeepSeek AI for voice assistance.
The older Folax assistant on Infinix smartphones had limited functionality. But with DeepSeek R1, Folax AI will now handle voice commands, searches, and requests much faster, offering an experience similar to Google Gemini and Samsung Bixby.
Early tests suggest that the new Infinix AI can process voice inputs more accurately and respond quickly, making it a powerful tool for users.
Users can activate the AI assistant using voice commands or the power button for convenience. Reports also indicate that Infinix AI will be officially announced today, February 26, just days before the Note 50 launch. More details on its features and performance are expected soon.
